hometown adelaide glory

I'm not sure if it's the constant (ridiculous) rain right now making me feel like I'm living on the gloomy and draining set of the movie 'Seven' but I'm feeling a tad homesick...and nothing beats the blues than a trip down memories lane.
I hopped onto the last Tiger flight (ever) back to Adelaide last weekend (or was it the weekend before?) and I realised how much I appreciate my 'small-town' home so much more.. instead of bagging the hell out of it, I now just adore it's quaintness.
The fact that you can't stroll down Rundle St without bumping into at least a handful of people that you know is comforting now rather than tiresome, and Cibo actually do make the best damn coffee you will ever have, the food choices are second to none and the op-shops are actually still cheap instead of over-glorified vintage haunts (sorry Crown St I'm looking at you)

Things I miss the most- Late night snackfests with my brother watching Empire Records and random old movies, Saturday morning brunches with my favourite friends and bike rides to the most beautiful beaches in the world which are just a stones throw away....I used to take this all for granted, and I guess we don't realise what we have until we move 800 miles (or more) away..that's life..

Here are a few of my favourite pictures from the weekend..and if you do ever head decide to venture out of the big smoke Adelaide is delightful, or maybe I'm just biased...
